| I have asthma, but im an athlete. Its been years since I've an asthma attack, and I have pretty good stamina. But I got this little pain in my foot, so I took a high dose of ibprophen(4 tablets). Then I went to basketball practice, and i ran just a couple sprints, and I could barely breathe. And the pain in my foot came back. What should I take instead? |

| Asthmatics should avoid and medication belonging to the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory group (NSAIDS). Common medications like ibuprofen/nurofen, aspirin, voltaren, indocid are all NSAIDS. Unfotunately some of these medicines can trigger bronchspam in some asthmatics. Asthmatics are best to take things containing paracetamol like Panadol to avoid triggering their asthma. |
