Suggestions for toddler having tonsils and adenoids removed? I'm in a bit of a panic so any advice would be helpful
My son has had fluid in his ears since birth, he rarely had ear infections, but the fluid buildup was causing hearing problems. In June of last year he had tubes put in his ears (he was 1). Today we went to the dr because I thought the tubes were coming out, and I wanted to talk about speech issues. I was right, the tubes in both ears are coming out, and the fluid is back.
My doctor suggested going back to the ENT and because my sons speech is not quite up to par, he suggested a speech evaluation also. He said that it was a strong possibility that the ENT might suggest having his tonsils and adenoids removed because they are huge. He snores and they could be the reason the ears keep filling up with fluid.
So, I may be jumping the gun a bit, but I'm kind of panicking about sending my son into another surgery. I like to be prepared, so anyone have any advice or suggestions about this? |
